Eva Alisic

Associate Professor, Child Trauma and Recovery at University of Melbourne

Eva Alisic is deeply involved in developing knowledge on child traumatic stress and recovery, translating research into policies and practices, advancing trauma-informed care in emergency settings, and supporting early career researchers globally.

Her educational background includes a PhD in Psychology from Universiteit Utrecht, where she graduated cum laude. She has also studied as a visiting researcher at the Children's Hospital Center for Refugee Trauma and Resilience at Harvard Medical School, holds an MSc in Psychology from Tilburg University, a BSc in Psychology from Universitè Pierre Mendès-France (Grenoble II), and an MA in Human Resource Management from Tilburg University.

Eva Alisic currently serves as an Associate Professor in Child Trauma and Recovery at the University of Melbourne. Her past roles include being a Visiting Research Fellow at Kinderspital Zürich, a Member (Co-Chair 2014-2016) at the Global Young Academy (GYA), an Honorary Fellow at Murdoch Childrens Research Institute, an Honorary Fellow at UMC Utrecht, a Larkins Fellow & Head of the Trauma Recovery Lab at Monash University, a Visiting Scholar at the Australian Centre for Posttraumatic Mental Health, a Team Leader at The Dutch National ThinkTank, a firefighter at UMC Utrecht, a Psychologist & Research Fellow at UMC Utrecht, a Case/Crisis Manager at Bureau Jeugdzorg Noord-Brabant (Child and Family Services), and a Lecturer at Universiteit van Tilburg.
