Evan Garza is an accomplished art professional with a diverse educational background and a wealth of experience in the art world. He holds a Master of Arts in Art History from Williams College, a Bachelor of Science in General Studies with a Minor in Art History from the University of Maryland Global Campus, and has also studied at the University of Houston and St. Thomas High School. Evan has held several significant roles in various prestigious organizations, including being the Co-curator and Artistic Director of the 2021 Texas Biennial at Big Medium. He has also served as a Visiting Faculty at Lesley University, Visiting Critic & Adjunct Graduate Instructor at Virginia Commonwealth University, and Director of Rice Public Art at Rice University, among other notable positions. Evan's extensive experience includes roles such as Assistant Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Blanton Museum of Art, SMFA Exhibitions & Public Programs Director at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Co-Founder and Assistant Director of the Fire Island Artist Residency (FIAR), Editor-at-Large at New American Paintings, Curator at Villa Victoria Center for the Arts, and Independent Curator, Writer, and Arts Administrator.
