Fang-Yu Lin is an accomplished designer and product management executive with a passion for innovation and team-building.
With over a decade of experience, Fang has a strong track record of developing cutting-edge software products and leading high-performing teams.
Prior to relocating to the Bay Area, he honed his skills at top New York agencies, working with renowned clients like Hilton Worldwide, Bank of America, Estée Lauder, Johnson & Johnson, and Subaru.
Apart from his tech career, Fang is also a proficient new media artist, specializing in Internet art and interactive installations that explore the fusion of human experience, culture, and technology.
His artistic works have been showcased at prestigious venues including the Whitney Museum of American Art, Tate Online, Prix Ars Electronica, Walker Art Center, and the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts.
Fang is a published author, having co-authored the book Switch Craft: Battery-Powered Crafts to Make and Sew, a pioneering work on wearable technology, in collaboration with Alison Lewis.
His book and collaborative projects have been featured on The Martha Stewart Show and demonstrated at events like SXSW, SIGGRAPH, and CES.
In terms of education, Fang holds a Master of Fine Arts in Design & Technology from Parsons School of Design - The New School, a Master of Science in Information with a focus on Human-Computer Interaction from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising from National Chengchi University.
Throughout his career, Fang has held key roles in various organizations, including Founder at Hatotale, VP/Head of Product & Design at Phil, Inc., Lead Product Designer at Airtime, and Product Manager/Design Lead at Tilt.com.
He has also served as an advisor for companies like Cheetah Technologies and Switch Embassy, and held positions such as Director of User Experience at Posterous, Experience Architecture Director/Associate Director at Organic, Inc., Senior Interaction Designer/Interaction Designer at R/GA, and Adjunct Faculty at Parsons School of Design.
Fang's diverse background in design, technology, and art, coupled with his extensive experience in product management, positions him as a versatile and talented professional in the industry.
