Farhad Movahed is a highly accomplished individual with a diverse educational background and extensive experience in the field of music and education.

He pursued advanced studies in various aspects of music, including a Yarshater Post-doctoral Fellowship in Psychology of Music/Performance and Music Interpretation from Harvard University.

Farhad also holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Flute Performance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, showcasing his dedication to mastering his craft.

In addition to his musical expertise, Farhad Movahed is a certified teacher of the Alexander Technique, having studied Teacher Certification at the Urbana Center for the Alexander Technique.

Professionally, Farhad has held prestigious roles such as being the Dean of the School of Performing Arts and Music at the University of Tehran, demonstrating his leadership and administrative skills.

He is also the former Founder and Artistic Director of the Iran Flute Society, highlighting his entrepreneurial spirit and passion for promoting music in his community.

Farhad's academic journey includes serving as an Associate Professor of Music, Flutist, and Certified Teacher of the Alexander Technique at the University of Tehran.

His experience extends to managerial positions as he has previously served as the Music Department Chair at the University of Tehran, showcasing his organizational and strategic abilities.

Furthermore, Farhad had the opportunity to work as a UNICEF Project Officer/Education at the United Nations, where he contributed his expertise to global initiatives in education and music.
