I canceled my @WHOOP subscription, and the only reason was that they made it extremely hard to cancel. It’s not possible via their app, and even if you find their obscure link, they don’t allow you to cancel unless you answer 9/10 questions. Feels extremely deceiving. Better to avoid paying companies that have zero respect to their users.

I’m using Vim for almost two decades. I started using it when I was 17 years old. Even I rarely type anything anymore. It feels like a chore. Things already have changed. I still open my files with Vim, but nobody writes code by hand anymore. There is no need for extension anymore, no need for prettifiers, or anything else.

What matters is taste. Knowing what elegant code is. What simple but solid solutions look like, how to design maintainable and future proof systems. All that requires lots of experience, and the will to read and learn. Vibe coding isn’t the same as Agentic Engineering. Companies embracing engineering and giving us tools to shine will be chosen over companies that favor slop and vibes.
