Here's the third edition of the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism newsletter series 'Spotlight on Newsroom Leadership', where we're diving deeper into some of the most pressing issues for newsroom leaders.

This month we are focusing on managing distributes teams and we've pulled together practical resources and expert insights that can help teams stay coordinated and innovative regardless of distance.

Our colleague Katherine Dunn, content editor at our Oxford Climate Journalism Network, shares learnings from her experience working with the network’s hundreds of distributed members. I loved her point on creating inclusive working calendar.

That’s it, we’ve just wrapped up the last ‘Leading Newsroom Change’ course of this academic year. It was wonderful to end with a cohort of 8 smart women leaders.

From September to today, the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism hosted 230 news leaders from 49 countries across our multiple programmes.

It’s a privilege to get to learn from so many who are shaping the present and future of our industry. We are facing complicated challenges, but there is power in getting together to share insights and learn from each other.

A special thank you to my team, who makes all of this possible behind the scenes.
