What’s the hardest part about running an Accelerator while simultaneously filming a Reality Show?
If we set aside the sheer amount of resources needed, the next big challenge is synchronizing the efforts of two very different teams. On one hand, we have a packed schedule with speakers, partners, and educational sessions. On the other hand, there’s a production crew of 30+ people working on the reality show, each with their own script and plan. And everything has to run like clockwork for an entire month.
For my co-founder, Fazil Suleymanov, and me, the toughest moment came in the first week. We had to manually manage and coordinate processes between two massive teams: XFounders and XFounders Production. We were putting out fires, resolving conflicts, and troubleshooting as no one in our industry has ever combined a reality show with an accelerator program.
Eventually, we realized we needed more resources, so we brought in additional angel investment to XFounders Production to improve the quality of our product.
Now, we're halfway through the Bootcamp with Solana Foundation. Our teams are fully in sync, everything is running smoothly, and everyone involved — from the founders and partners to the speakers and production team — is enjoying the process.
There's a growing excitement as we anticipate sitting down to watch the first episode of our reality show about Web3 founders. It feels amazing to be doing something new in the industry, to take a risk with the team, and to see the results unfold. Honestly, this might even be worthy of a “making-of” documentary someday. 😊
