Highlights
I'm super excited to share what I've been building in the shadow for the last 12 months.
All started with Matt Orlic having an idea that I really resonated with. A company that helps players reach their full potential through nutrition and scientific supplementation Football Supplements
Then it all came down to relentless execution which got us to:
- Launch 4 products in a very short time
- Quick iterations based on the feedback from customers
- Completely new website
- Recognition from big names in the industry like Ivan Rakitic and Atletico Madrid.
And we're just getting started.
The best part of so far is creating products that big players loved and enjoyed taking.
Now that the hard part is done, we move into familiar territory for me - growing an brand at a rapid pace.
Onwards and upwards!
I had a client that said: “my users love to click around the website to learn more before buying”
Which is absolutely false!
This story has the same lesson as the WWII planes' story
During WWII, the British army wanted to reduce the number of shot-down planes.
So they analyzed bullet holes in planes that returned from action to see where they would reinforce with armor.
Naturally, where they saw the most patterns, they would put the armor.
Until Hungarian mathematician pointed out that, places where there are no holes, are where the planes wouldn’t return from the action.
Simply put, planes that have bullet holes in those ‘missing’ locations are the ones that don’t come back.
The same thing happened to my client
They were looking at the data backward!
When you see in the data that people are clicking around, reading your pages, it’s natural to think that you should reinforce that behavior.
When people are clicking around the website, this means that they want to learn more.
This also means that landing page didn’t give them enough information to make a purchase decision right away.
This is why they are clicking around
But what not visible is people who don’t bother to search for the information they need - they just bounce.
And the reality is, most people won’t be bothered to search for the information they need to make a decision.
Especially if they clicked an ad online.
So the best solution when people click around is to increase the information density of the landing page.
Brands need to make sure to give all the information website visitor needs on one page and enable them to buy right there.
The meta objective here is to reduce the friction for your visitors.
If you reduce friction, you will always have a higher conversion rate regardless of context.
