The world has changed a lot since I shut She can. She did. down in September ’21. Democracy’s under threat, women’s rights are being rolled back… And apparently I need to wear one of these cute baby mics if I want to record a video these days?!
In any case, given the stakes at play in the upcoming elections, I wrote this poem a few months ago to explain what often goes through my head when people ask, “How are you?” these days.

I’ll be starting a Substack for B.Y.E. Fiona Grayson in the coming days in which I’ll expand on some of the thoughts behind these words, share the resources that inspired them each week and document my own journey ‘starting again’ as I get B.Y.E. off the ground.
