Frances Cannon is a multidisciplinary professional excelling in writing, art, and English instruction with a Master of Fine Arts in writing from the University of Iowa and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Vermont.

Cannon has a diverse background that includes roles in publishing, editorial work, teaching, baking, art creation, and wilderness guiding, showcasing her wide-ranging skill set and interests.

Having taught at Vermont College of Fine Arts and held adjunct professor positions at various institutions, including Champlain College, Cannon has also founded and instructed at the C.I.C.A.D.A. school of mentorship in the arts, in addition to serving as an Assistant Professor of Creative Nonfiction Writing at The University of Iowa.

Her editorial experience includes internships at prominent publications like The Lucky Peach and McSweeney's, along with freelance graphic design and catering work at 18 Reasons and food writing for Seven Days.

Cannon's commitment to education is evident through her tenure as a Teacher's Assistant at the University of Vermont and various teaching roles, complemented by her creative endeavors as a writer, artist, and freelance contributor across different platforms and projects.
