Francesca De Maria is an accomplished professional with a rich educational background and extensive experience in public health, international development, and consultancy roles.

She pursued her academic interests by studying Sociology, Development Studies, and Anthropology at Università La Sapienza di Roma, followed by further studies in Public Health in Developing Countries, Public Health, and Epidemiology at the prestigious London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, U. of London.

Francesca has showcased her expertise and leadership abilities through various roles in renowned organizations. She has served as the Polio Team Leader and International Consultant in immunization at UNICEF, International Public Health Consultant at Medici con l'Africa Cuamm, and Consultant Senior at WHO.

Her professional journey also includes roles such as International Consultant at the World Food Programme, International Consultant for Health Portfolio at PCI Media Impact where she later became the Program Director, and Senior Research Advisor at the Mozambican Ministry of Health, Provincial Direction of Nampula.

Francesca De Maria has contributed significantly to the field of Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) as evidenced by her roles as SBCC Research Consultant at UNICEF and SBCC Consultant at various capacities.
