🌟 Empowered and Inspired by the Perform Better Summit! 🌟 I had the incredible opportunity to attend the Perform Better summit, where I dove into a series of transformative workshops led by industry leaders. Each session offered invaluable insights that I can't wait to apply in my practice. Here's a snapshot of what I learned:

⚡ Lee Taft's "Building a MultiDirectional Speed Program from Scratch" taught me how to enhance agility and speed with reactive drills like sprinter lunges and pogo hops. These techniques will help my clients move more efficiently in all directions.

💡 Kevin Carr's "5 Fitness Facts That Could Save Your Life" emphasized the importance of strength and bone health in extending our health span. A 30-second chair sit-to-stand test now has new meaning for me!

💼 Pat Rigsby's "Creating Your Weekly Client Machine" provided a step-by-step approach to building a successful fitness business. The focus on creating real transformations, rather than just transactions, is something that resonates deeply with me.

💪 Jessica Bento's "Beyond The Rotator Cuff: New Methods of Shoulder Health & Performance" introduced innovative ways to prevent injuries, especially for athletes. Sandbag training for shoulder stability is definitely on my radar now.

🎯 Martin Rooney's "The 5 Costliest Mistakes Coaching People Over 40" was a powerful reminder of how accountability and humor can be game-changers in coaching, especially for older clients.

💥 Don Saladino's "The Entrepreneur Hustle – Your Next Four Moves" underscored the importance of building a community and adding value before anything else. His strategies for nurturing relationships will shape my approach to fitness entrepreneurship.

🏋️ Charlie Weingroff's "The 3 Secret Factors to Strong and Resilient Training & Rehab" delved into biomechanics and movement quality. His exercises for muscle function and resilience are a must-try.

🔑 Matthew Ibrahim's "Frontal Plane Fundamentals: Lower Body Training" was all about strengthening lateral movements—an area I'm eager to focus on in my training programs.

🚀 Tim Lyons' "The Resilient Gym: Avoid the Most Overlooked Business Blind Spots" reinforced the importance of solid systems and problem-solving in running a successful gym.

🔍 Travis Barnes' "The Future of Fitness" opened my eyes to upcoming trends like DNA sequencing and personalized fitness. The future is here, and it's all about customization and recovery.

The Perform Better summit was a powerful reminder that continuous learning is key to growth. I'm excited to bring these new strategies to my clients and help them achieve their best selves. 💪 #PerformBetter #FitnessSummit #HealthAndWellness #StrengthTraining #BusinessGrowth #InjuryPrevention #ContinuousImprovement

There is a high demand for personal trainers right now...

Meaning that right now as I speak... there are people not moving forward on their fitness goals for the sole reason because they don't have a trainer to guide them.

If you are considering a trainer... consider this question: "Do the things you need in your training justify the use of a personal trainer?" The folks who most need a PT in my opinion are the following:

  • People who've been in physically dibilitating accidents
  • People who need intense or specific training for competitions
  • People who who have detrimental/uncommon health conditions

Now it's true, I train some people simply because they need a TIME outside of normal group training times, because classes aren't offered at the time they want, or their work schedule is tough... and this is TOTALLY okay also. If you are thinking of getting into the personal training industry keep these things in mind.

The simple quick fix stuff you see on IG and Tiktok isn't going to cut it for most people.

Yes I got my start by watching things on social media and Youtube videos but then I decided to actual educate myself with mentors and such. Then I actually had to hone my skill on clients who would give me a chance to train them. Go deeper, and above all else... be personable.

Meaning...after the certs and education is earned... are you "able" to be an empathetic "person" with your clients.
