Highlights
I just hit my 1 year mark at Niantic. This has felt like one of the longest, quickest years yet. I joined at a time when there was a lot of change happening. I knew i could add value in a lot of places and jumped in where I could helping with DEI, Performance Management, Development etc. Looking back, I am proud of this past year but also felt stretched much of the time wearing too many hats... In some ways I also feel like I am just getting started and am finally able to focus more on Development which is where my passion is. We have a new CPO and we are hiring a leader for DEIB. As much as I enjoy working in this space with passionate leaders, I know someone with real expertise can take us to the next level. If you are looking for a fun, energetic, tech startup environment and you are passionate about DEIB check out the opportunity.
It has been a fun adventure since joining Niantic, Inc. in May. Seeing new games launch to millions of users has been so rewarding. And playing the games and interacting with other players has given me more of an appreciation for gaming communities and their power to help us reach our mission to inspire outdoor exploration, exercise and connection.
