Surfrider Canada is raising awareness and taking action on coastal styrofoam debris / pollution.
Without question, EPS foam is the most prevalent and common marine debris that we see every single day on our local beaches here in Tofino.
It's sad to see how common the foam debris has become.
My daughter and I walk the beaches each day picking up any styrofoam we find as part of our daily-duty to keep our coastline as clean as possible.
Let's work together to figure out a way to get past this material of concern!!
Well done to the Surfrider Canada team!
I’m very excited to start a new phase of my career as an Engineering Sustainability Consultant. I've now transitioned away from my full time position in local government in order to focus 100% of my work on climate action and sustainability programs.
I am grateful to those who continue to lead and innovate in this space. Your support and inspiration has given me the courage to go out on my own.
I'm honoured to have worked with such capable teams across local government to deliver positive and enduring change.
There is much important work to be done. I'm excited to see where I can help.
