Highlights
AI is seeing widespread integration across a variety of hotel functions, but one relatively new concept that's receiving AI enhancements is hotel security technology. Along with more linear intrusion detection, AI can leverage in-depth data to measure probabilities and predict potential events. For instance, it might predict a significant influx of visitors in the hotel lobby, which can help to deploy the necessary resources to manage that challenge. Additionally, AI can be paired with other security technologies, including video surveillance and identity verification systems, improving their effectiveness and allowing for a more in-depth understanding of a potential threat.
As the technology continues to improve, we're only likely to see it used more extensively in security functions.

With cyberattacks become more and more frequent, travel and hospitality brands need to prioritize cybersecurity to address these vulnerabilities.
