Fredrik Marø (Maroe) is a New York-based Norwegian entrepreneur dedicated to revolutionizing the way alumni and students connect. He is the founder and CEO of Firsthand, a venture-backed edtech startup with a mission to democratize careers by empowering young job seekers with a robust career network. Firsthand has successfully fostered stronger and more successful communities at prestigious institutions worldwide, including Harvard, MIT, Oxford, and Cambridge.

Fredrik Marø holds an MBA in Business Administration and Management from Harvard Business School, a BS in Finance from The Wharton School, a BA in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania, and completed his International Baccalaureate at St. Olav videregående skole.

Prior to founding Firsthand, Fredrik Marø held various roles that shaped his expertise. He served as a Summer Engagement Manager, Associate, and Junior Associate at McKinsey & Company, gaining valuable insights into strategic consulting and management. Additionally, he worked as a Summer Analyst in Mergers and Acquisitions at Lazard, honing his financial acumen. Furthermore, Fredrik Marø's leadership skills were honed during his time as Squad Leader in the Reconnaissance Battalion of the Forsvaret, Norwegian Armed Forces. He also contributed as a Board Member at the Norwegian Seamen's Church.
