Last week Marty and I had the pleasure of meeting a number of incredible business leaders in Houston for a session with our partners Stacy E. of Chevron and Jessica Van Singel of Accenture at the Accenture Innovation Hub. We brought the "Tomorrowmind Experience" to Houston to address emergent talent needs in light of GenAI, of global disruption, and of industry-specific challenges in Healthcare, Energy, and Finance. Houston has faced many challenges recently, but with these leaders at the helm, the city's future is bright!

From BetterUp, Kate Burke and Erin Jadney made this event possible. Thank you to Jen Bell-Garcia and Nisa Q. for your support as well. From Chevron, in addition to "rose-colored glasses" Stacy, we were fortunate to have the involvement of Sanjar R. And alongside our consummate moderator Jessica, we had support from Holly Guthrie and Brett Bloemer at Accenture. Thank you very much to Peter Beard for your participation and support and for your important question about education!

For those who couldn't make it, our discussion centered around how to prepare the workforce for the whitewater world of work when you're already immersed in the rapids of GenAI, while still recovering from the COVID rapids, with major political elections around the corner. Stacy and Jessica shared their learnings from both past and present roles and engagements, and Marty and I brought PRISM to the fore with an emphasis on resilience and innovation. Thanks to everyone who has reached out after the event for follow-ups, I will be in touch!

From the department of good news!

You know that feeling when a zoom meeting ends and you're worried you botched it - that the other person is just...not that into you?

Think again. This set of heartwarming findings tells the story of how much people actually like you - they really do! - and gives us each more room for the ever-elusive self-compassion that we need for resilience. Bravo to my inspiring long-time colleague Andrew Reece from BetterUp Labs and our longtime collaborator Gus Cooney and colleagues for this punchy write-up in Harvard Business Review.
