Gael Gonzalez-DeLaLuz is a high school junior with a keen interest in neuroscience, global outreach, and marketing, aiming to pursue a career in medicine and make a lasting impact in the community.

His current focus involves studying the psychological effects of implicit bias and prejudice on minority groups, as well as delving into the neurocognitive consequences of socioeconomic imbalances and stressors caused by stereotyping.

As a Hispanic student with an indigenous background, Gael is dedicated to addressing disparities in scientific fields, particularly empowering other minorities in STEM and advocating for increased opportunities in medical education for historically underserved populations.

In 2020, he co-founded Medicine Encompassed, a student-run organization working to enhance accessibility and awareness of issues in the medical field related to minority representation. The organization has made significant strides, reaching over 1,200 members across numerous states and countries, offering free resources in various medical specialties.

Gael's work with Medicine Encompassed has been recognized by prestigious organizations like the T-Mobile Foundation and Ashoka, winning awards and being acknowledged for their impactful initiatives.
