Here, he faced the challenge of establishing and managing a remote engineering team, growing from just four members to an impressive forty in a mere five months. During this period, he instituted essential operational structures such as the implementation of a data warehouse that enhanced decision-making through actionable product usage metrics. Ganesh's leadership proved invaluable when he successfully facilitated the onboarding of Microsoft as a major client for Ally, leading to the strategic migration from AWS to Azure and ultimately contributing to the acquisition of Ally by Microsoft.
After his meaningful association with Ally, where he had made substantial contributions, Ganesh ventured into entrepreneurship by co-founding Funnel IQ, a startup focused on providing analytics for Revenue Operations (RevOps). His hands-on leadership guided Funnel IQ through various phases, including securing pre-seed and seed funding, designing a remote team culture, and developing their initial product. Within a remarkably short time frame of three months, the new venture welcomed its first client. However, as is common in the entrepreneurial landscape, he faced challenges regarding product-market fit, prompting a strategic pivot towards community management. This decisive move led to the creation of Atomic, a software solution aimed at managing user communities while in-depth analytics about RevOps metrics informed the product development cycle.
After realizing that the Atomic business model wasn't sustainable, Ganesh gracefully steered away and allowed his co-founder the opportunity to continue building out the community aspect of their earlier efforts. His wealth of experience in RevOps and data analytics found a new outlet as he founded an agency dedicated to supporting RevOps teams with their data engineering needs, effectively functioning as a dedicated data engineering partner for teams keen on leveraging data.
