#FixTheWorld #ThoughtOfTheDay Tonight, as the rare #SuperBlueMoon graces our skies, there's a unique opportunity before us—one that stretches beyond business targets and quarterly results. Historically, such a moon was seen as a powerful omen, a symbol of change and reflection. In 2024, amidst the turmoil of wildfires and climate uncertainty, it stands as a reminder of what unites us all: our shared world and its fleeting, magnificent beauty. https://flic.kr/p/2qaVcMq

But are we too distracted to notice? In a time when headlines and deadlines dominate, it’s easy to miss the simple, awe-inspiring events that cost nothing yet offer so much. Tonight’s moon could be that common experience we desperately need—like Japan’s cherished sakura bloom, it can bring us together, if only we let it.

Yet, the striking hues of orange and red we see across Europe tonight are not just a beautiful coincidence. As the BBC reported, these colours are a direct result of smoke particles from uncontrolled wildfires in North America, carried across the Atlantic by the jet stream . These fires, fuelled by climate change (& denial!), have darkened skies, and affected air quality, but they’ve also created a surreal, almost haunting backdrop to this rare lunar event.

Imagine communities stepping outside tonight (19August2024), even for just a moment, to witness the Super Blue Moon against this otherworldly canvas. Strangers might exchange smiles, perhaps offer tips on photographing the moon with a smartphone/camera, turning this natural wonder into an event that fosters connection. It's a chance for a collective pause—a reminder that, despite our challenges, we're all under the same sky.

So, let’s encourage each other to look up tonight, to find a moment of shared wonder. Share your photos, your thoughts, your feelings about the experience. And if you're on your own, why not dive into thought-provoking content like the podcast with Dr. Mikhail Varshavski and Prof. Marion Nestle on the corrupt world of food politics? https://lnkd.in/eWk3vjF9 this is congruent to our #FTW newsletter on Hidden war at home: https://lnkd.in/eTXmkehB

Extreme wildfires have doubled in two decades . Canada’s boreal forests are burning faster than they can regrow . But let’s not allow them to cloud our appreciation for the world’s beauty. Instead, let this Super Blue Moon be a beacon, a reason to step outside, connect, and reflect.

What will you see tonight? & more importantly, what will you share? Suggestions, thoughts, Pls reply with your pictures

Exciting News: Two ads featuring Steven Bartlett have been banned (Huel & ZOE ), just as I highlighted danger of bad influencers. https://lnkd.in/gPc5EZ7d Great work by Advertising Standards Authority Nicky Morgan (sadly there is no such thing for the rest of the world!?)

As I've mentioned before, the easiest way to identify responsible influencers is to steer clear of those who push supplements, especially expensive ones, and particularly those who don't disclose their financial interests, such as being investors or affiliates. https://lnkd.in/gBT8Ffvq

Love Scott Carney latest video exposing “The True Story of David A. Sinclair A.O., Ph.D. 's Longevity Lie.” https://lnkd.in/g7VbByPk

Wow! I was skeptical about the growing hype around metformin & all the supplements mentioned by P.David, especially since there are concerns about shelf life and reliability. It’s alarming that Sinclair seems to controlled the patent/supply, which feels like a classic MBA strategy of market domination. Cc Eric Topol, MD

In my opinion, what we need now are: 1.) a universal Responsible Influencers Charter 2.) A White and Blacklist of Influencers 3.) A Financial Guarantee for Good Influencers 4.) A Blacklist of Proven Scammers/Bad Influencers

5.) A Reminder to Consumers: Enjoy the content, but be aware of how influencers profit from your attention, cookies, and wallet.

Also, remember that content can influence your thoughts, actions, and behavior. See how UK’s riot been riled up by fake news & sentenced: https://lnkd.in/g3h7tuaz

Thus treat your mind as your sacred temple, approach what you consume like you would with your food:

A.) Consume trusted content B.) Ensure it's mostly fact-checked C.) Don't overindulge (avoid echo chamber)

Let’s develop something to fix this Neal Mohan as you could become the internet’s BBC

more upcoming scandals with even top YouTube star like MrBeast on Sports Illustrated https://lnkd.in/ga4rYJGW
