Actively Seeking Employment

Gary Bland is a passionate game designer with a diverse background in creating board games, card games, and video games since his elementary school days.

He has a deep love for all forms of gaming, ranging from computer games to strategic board games to roleplaying, and enjoys sharing his knowledge with newcomers in various gaming settings.

With a talent for finding and fixing exploits and flaws in games, Gary has a history of running games for friends and family, as well as judging with the renowned gaming group NASCRAG, known for organizing role-playing tournaments at events like Gen Con.

His knack for quickly solving puzzles led to adjustments in game difficulty, and his expertise in editing modules ensured accuracy and balance within gaming systems.

While in college at Northwestern University, Gary's skills in gaming led to character traits being banned due to rule exploits he discovered while playing with Dead City Productions.

Currently focused on video game design, Gary also provides valuable feedback as a playtester for other games and is eager to further his career in the video game industry upon completing his Masters in Media and Information.

Gary Bland holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Northwestern University, a Master of Arts in Media and Information from Michigan State University, and is an alum of Deerfield High School. Additionally, he has held various roles in organizations such as Internet commerce startups, Goldendice Studios, and the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center, gaining diverse experiences in different professional environments.
