Gary Wilkerson is a tenured professor at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where he has taught in the Graduate Athletic Training Education Program since 1999.12 He has received degrees from Eastern Kentucky University (1978), the University of Arizona (1979), and the University of Kentucky (1989).15
