Gaurav Nanda is a Ph.D. candidate in Industrial Engineering at Purdue University, specializing in using Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing Techniques to Assign Cause-of-Injury Codes Based on Injury Narratives.

With a background at Infosys Technologies working in their banking software division Finacle for 5 years, Gaurav started as a database and web technologies programmer, then transitioned to roles involving requirement gathering, solution design, and eventually became a project leader managing a technical team.

During his tenure as a graduate research assistant, Gaurav focused on developing a collaborative knowledge management system using the HUBzero platform for Proctor and Gamble.

His educational journey includes completing his Masters and undergraduate studies in engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, as well as pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Industrial Engineering at Purdue University.

Gaurav Nanda also has teaching experience and has served as an Assistant Professor Of Practice at Purdue University. He has a diverse educational background, having studied Physics, Chemistry, Management, Engineering, and Soil Science.
