As I don't post a lot...
This post is something that I really was not sure if I should make, but in the light of mental health and wellbeing I feel it's important to be vulnerable and honest.
In the past years there have been a lot of people who have struggled with mental health and they have been someone's colleague, partners, parents, friends and they are all around us and we are them.
Below are just some thoughts I had when I had to take a moment for myself on a Saturday morning...🙏
❤️
Sometimes we just need to get off from the wheel of life and take a moment.
Understand ourselves and trying to understand people around us can get overwhelming. 😌
As much as our mind holds things in, our body just gives up and wants to let it all out and that's what happened to me.
This is my body and mind tell me that I needed to take a moment to myself.
Sometimes we get tired of always reflecting our best self and we need a moment without anyone around to listen to our own thoughts. With so much distraction around us, we hardly have a moment to listen to ourselves.
I attend to not listen to my body and mind and when my mind is full and my body is run down - I crash. 😔 I am sure that it's not the healthiest way for my wellbeing but we are all different and deal with our emotions differently.
Things I reminded myself:
-
I am allowed to have different emotions and feelings and noone can tell me how I should and shouldn't feel. All emotions are valid! 😊
-
There is no such thing as a perfect person. Sometimes we fail, we say things we don't mean, we do things we regret. Everyone does it! 😊
-
I have to accept that I will continue to experience the above things for the rest of my life.
-
By going through the above, I will grow and that is something I need to appreciate.
-
People around you are all different with different personalities who have their own journeys and as much as we perhaps can't understand everyone, we need to accept them. 😊
-
Self acceptance is important. You need to love who you are with all your imperfections (look at them as growth opportunities). ❤️
-
Accepting yourself and growing can be hard but this is what makes us better for our own self and people around us. 🙏
Thank you for readying if you got that far. 🙂 For some reason I felt the need to write this post, perhaps for someone, this post was needed today.
Back on the wheel... 😄
