While you're at it why not continue making the PT Cruiser because that was such a winner!
So, US$1.1 BILLION spread over multiple plants over 8 different States....to 2 companies whose sole purpose is combustion and driving reliance on fossil fuels....
Ridiculous. China clearly is the leader in EV's, why not encourage Chinese investment into the US, drop these stupid tariffs and actually meet our GLOBAL commitment to move from fossil to renewables? What a waste of tax payer money, blatant vote buying, with an added dash of American Exceptionalism subtle-not-so-subtle racism and an extra serving of stupid. #ChinaMatters
"General Motors will receive $500 million to convert its Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant in Michigan to EVs at an unspecified future date. GM said it will make its own unspecified investment to produce EVs in Lansing at a future date but said the plant will continue to produce the Cadillac CT4 and CT5."
Allowing Shein to embed its technology within U.S. supply chains could undermine the competitive landscape, violate regulatory standards, and introduce a host of risks, including cybersecurity, said Dewardric McNeal, managing director and senior policy analyst at Longview Global, who served as a policy expert on Asia for the Obama administration’s Department of Defense.

"Allowing" the language is so telling, American Exceptionalism, racism, as if you can "allow" anything. The US is the supposed bastion of free market capitalism and now you talk of "allowing" a company do carry out business that any other company would normally do.....oh as long as they are white and not Chinese you mean......
-
Dewardric McNeal - served as a policy expert on Asia for the Obama administration....genuine question: exactly how long have you lived in Asia? How many times have you been to Asia? Can you tell me approximately how many countries there are in Asia, how many languages are spoken? When was the last time you were in this Asia you speak of?
Arrogant, insular, imperialists. Nothing more. At least have the decency and courage to admit it. #ChinaMatters
