One of my favorite parts of my job is meeting our talented teams around the globe.

Over the last two weeks I have had the pleasure of meeting some of our incredible interns, each of them a part of our culture of innovation. Their creativity, desire to learn, confidence to ask questions, and willingness to get involved in projects will help Johnson Controls continue to transform the environments where people live, work, learn and play for generations to come.

Our Executive Committee had the opportunity to meet Joseph Gress, a Solutions Architect Intern within our IT team. Joseph shared his work on a critical project that uses AI to drive improvements in our sales process, helping sellers to increase valuable time with clients and less time doing paperwork. This pilot project will now be ramped up and rolled out across JCI and Joseph will guest speak at our Global Town Hall next week, which will be broadcasted live across all teams and offices. What an impact!

Secondly, I am proud to celebrate our interns who represented Johnson Controls in Milwaukee’s 4th annual Light the Hoan Bridge challenge. They knocked it out of the park with an incredible light show depicting Johnson Controls rich history of innovation, our leadership in sustainability, and our commitment to make buildings and communities healthier around the globe. With stiff competition from 13 companies, they were crowned the winners by local Milwaukee Celebrity Judges. Congratulations to Christian, Diego, Excel, Jack, Kush, Mitchell, and Vic.

It is our hope that these experiences equip our interns with the confidence, skills and knowledge to excel on their learning journey and in their future career, wherever that takes them!

I am thrilled at the impact they are having in Johnson Controls. Thank you to all our interns for helping us build tomorrow, together.

It was a pleasure to be back in Japan and Hong Kong this month with our incredible teams, customers and partners to share insights on #smartbuilding technologies. This visit provided invaluable insights into the local market and was an excellent opportunity to see our strategy in action with our leadership team.   Among the highlights—a townhall and roundtable discussions with employees offered a firsthand glimpse of the remarkable work our teams do every day, as we deliver excellence to our customers through our vision to advance smart, healthy, safe, and sustainable buildings. It was great to engage directly with our customers and partners as well, to understand more about the emerging challenges and opportunities they face, and the solutions we provide to help meet those needs.

Touring our live controls product testing lab was particularly inspiring, showcasing the cutting-edge technology that positions Johnson Controls as a leader in the region and our industry. Our strategic discussions, including valuable insights from our Board Member, Dr. Ayesha Khanna on the responsible use of AI and digital tools, further emphasized the importance of leveraging technology to effect positive change.   Johnson Controls’ global footprint, talented team and cutting-edge technology makes us uniquely positioned to reduce carbon emissions and drive collective success. We remain committed to continuous innovation, growth, and delivering exceptional value to culturally diverse region.   Thank you to our wonderful team in Asia for the great hospitality and for all the incredible work you do.
