7 apps to help reduce food waste in 2024 📱
In my opinion, the best ‘app’ to reduce individual food waste is the very much offline shopping list, ideally combined with going shopping directly after having eaten (not when you’re hungry!) 📝
Reduce overshopping by knowing what you already have: At home we have started to use the Speisekammer.App, so we always know what’s in the pantry and the freezer. The app works really well - I can simply scan the barcode of items, and they are added to the app. I don’t use an app to track what’s in the fridge – for us, that’s simply too much effort of putting data in/out. Personally, I prefer using apps that focus on inventory only, rather than options that focus more on recipes.
There are a lot of apps that can help you to reduce food waste...
- Your Food - No Waste Inventory (English, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Spanish)
- Speisekammer.App (German)
- Pantry Check (English)
- Olio • Share More, Waste Less (English)
- Too Good To Go (EU, UK and US)
- Phenix (France)
- Yo No Desperdicio (Spain)
Have I missed any good ones from my list? 🍎
