Gerhard Fasol is a highly accomplished professional with a wealth of experience in cross-border M&A and cybersecurity in Japan.

Having worked in Tokyo since 1991 and engaged with Japan's high-tech sector since 1984, Gerhard brings a deep understanding of the Japanese market and its technological landscape.

Educationally, Gerhard holds a PhD in Physics from Trinity College, Cambridge, and another PhD in Semiconductor Physics from the University of Cambridge. He also completed a Diplom-Physiker in Physics from Ruhr University Bochum.

Throughout his career, Gerhard has held various significant roles, including CEO & Producer at Eurotechnology Japan K. K., Board Director and Supervisory Committee Member at a Japanese cybersecurity group, and positions at esteemed organizations like Trinity College Cambridge and Ludwig Boltzmann Forum.

Gerhard's professional journey also includes being a Guest Professor at Kyushu University, an Advisor at CLSA and Jetro, and the first non-Japanese to lead a "Sakigake" R&D project at the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST). He has also held academic positions at University of Tokyo, University of Cambridge, and Ecole Normale Superieure.

With a background encompassing roles in academia, industry, and advisory boards, Gerhard Fasol's expertise and insights have been invaluable in shaping the cybersecurity and high-tech landscape in Japan.
