Geri Gillespy, Ed.D., has an extensive background in the field of education, spanning over 23 years with various roles such as Teacher, Academic Coach, Vice-Principal, Principal, District Administrator K-12, and more recently as a Program Manager at Microsoft.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Geri served as the Administrator of Digital Integration for a large district in the Pacific Northwest, where her team facilitated the implementation, training, and assessment of technology integration in K-12 education district-wide.
At Microsoft, Geri works within the Global Education Engagement Team, where she collaborates with engineering product teams and EDU customers worldwide. She supports educational leaders, educators, and administrative staff in leveraging Microsoft products to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
Geri holds an Ed.D. in Executive Leadership in Curriculum and Instruction, specializing in the systematic integration of technology in education. She is recognized as a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert Fellow and Trainer, and she received the ISTE Make it Happen award for Leadership in Educational Technology at the NCCE 2018 conference.
Her educational journey includes studies in Educational Leadership and Administration at Boise State University, a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Idaho, and a Bachelor of Arts in Child Development from San Jose State University.
Geri's professional experience also encompasses roles such as Principal at Peregrine Elementary, Vice-Principal at Meridian School, and Elementary Teacher at San Juan Unified and Meridian School District.
She has been actively involved in professional organizations like the T3 Council and served as a National NCCE Professional Learning Specialist and speaker, demonstrating her commitment to advancing educational technology and leadership.
