One of the main reasons I am enjoying building Prrink is that every now and then the images that generative AI creates come out as pure magic.

The "Uncanny valley" is the modern version of Freud's "Uncanny" specific to what we experience when we encounter human-like robots and artificial intelligence but its described as an eerie feeling of uneasiness.

However, instead of an eerie feeling some times I really get lost in the generated art creations like I would with real human art.

My yesterdays' totally random "Terracotta warrior laying Terracotta tiles" generated image below really blew me away when it popped up on the screen.

Do you feel the same these days when you interact with GenAI?

I am attaching a few other creations..

  • to my opinion the terracotta one is really a special art piece
  • I can really get lost in the Chinese girl's gaze while eating a sandwich
  • I can never get tired of gorilla ballerinas and samurai space monkeys

Which one is your favourite?

Ok so a few days ago, I posted about an interesting theory that real Merlions where once living among people in Singapore in the 1930-1950s.

Since then the post had a bit of viral success and I got a few new images from random people who saw my post. Among them you can see Merlions posing with friends on the beach, watching a movie in the cinema and in the Singapore river during a dragon boat competition.

I am attaching them here, and if you happen to come across any new ones you can post them and link to the original post as well.

Someone also told me that they would make really cool t-shirts for national day 😅
