Gideon's approach involves using ethnographic methods to delve into how individuals and communities navigate existential inquiries, such as identity, belonging, love, beliefs, and life's purpose.

Throughout his career, Gideon has held notable positions such as Associate Professor, Senior Fellow, Executive Director, Editor, and CEO in prestigious institutions like the Institute for Christian Studies, Center for Public Justice, and Fuller Theological Seminary. He has also contributed to academia as an adjunct faculty member in philosophy and aesthetics at different colleges and universities.

Gideon's educational background includes a PhD in Philosophy and Ethics from the University of the Free State, as well as studies in Christian spirituality at Regent College and secondary education at Jim Fouche Secondary School. His commitment to his birth continent, Africa, is evident in the passion he holds for its flourishing.
