Gil Asakawa is a prominent writer, journalist, public speaker, and diversity and cultural communications consultant with extensive experience spanning traditional journalism to digital media since 1996.

With a background in journalism ranging from alternative weeklies to daily newspapers and magazines, Gil served as the Manager of Student Media at the University of Colorado, advising the student-run news website www.cuindependent.com.
