回马枪
Old frameworks / system design no longer work in the new era. Industrialization 4.0 is here and we are not ready (because we are tied down by the laws and regulations of the last era).
To do a total upgrade in infrastructure and next stage of industrialization in America and in any of the developed world, there must be a reform in the laws and regulations. We need de-regulation and breaking down barriers. We can always figure out new laws as we go.
Otherwise, we will watch every other part of the world, Africa, LATAM, Asia, Middle East, Eastern Europe, all surpass America, Canada and Europe.
Today, we cannot even build anything large in America anymore. Forget about factories if you have to think about all the environmental and labor laws, costs, regulations, etc. We cannot even have the transportation, energy, electricity to match the needs of the new "industrialization" needs.
Calfornia already wants to regulate the AI industry to death with the newly proposed laws.
