Highlights
💪 PowerUp Camp 💪
What a rush it was being on-site, in person with 100+ Auguarians last week! Don’t get me wrong, I love remote work and life, but nothing compares to spending time together in person, especially with people you’ve spent so much time on video calls with, but never had the chance to meet IRL (thats what the cool kids say now, right?). We had sessions outdoors, in the wild of upstate NY, team activities that involved boat building, water (and water balloons) and lots of fresh air.
A few highlight snippets from our time together in photos:
- The group (in all our team color glory)
- Marketing power (with matching bracelets)
- Some powerful sessions, both indoors and outdoors to get those creative juices flowing
Thanks to:
- Augury for investing in us to get together in person
- Forest Lake Camp for hosting us
- The behind the scenes team: Olga Filakouris, Eliza King, Michal Gutelzon for allowing me to be a part of this elite group!
Lastly, 🍊team orange🍊 forever!
This is 4️⃣. (Excuse me- I'm going to get a little sentimental. On a work platform, you say? It's work related, I promise!)
Imagine this- It’s Feb 2020. You’ve just accepted a new position. You take a few weeks off before starting the new job. During that time, the world shuts down. Literally. Thankfully, the new company says they still want you to start. Oh, and did I mention you work in events?
You start your new job, and within the first week, your partner at the time gets sick. It starts getting more and more serious, and within 2 weeks, they’re hospitalized and you have no idea what will happen. (Remember that time during COVID? Yea, it was tough). You’re missing onboarding and intro meetings, because you’re running back and forth between virtual calls and hospital drop offs.
Yea, this is how I started at Augury.
In the midst of all that, people I’d not yet met in person checked in, meals were dropped off for us. I was so worried about the initial impressions I was setting, but I shouldn’t have. Everyone was so supportive. Even our CEO messaged me, with a compassionate note I’ll never forget.
It’s been 4 years since I’ve started at Augury, and life and work (and the world) has changed so much. But I am so appreciative of the people that I’ve had the honor of meeting, including some amazing customers, and the people that I call not only coworkers, but also friends.
Some pics below not from any “events”, but from hang outs, because I'm surrounded by some genuinely amazing people. (Including one all the way back from 2020 😷)
Happy 4 years, Augury!
