"Europe is less hard-working, less ambitious, more regulated, and more risk-averse than the US" -

Nicolai Tangen. (he is CEO of Norway’s USD1.6TN sovereign wealth fund)

He later added:

"In America, you have a lot of AI and no regulation, in Europe you have no AI and a lot of regulation. It’s interesting".

AI or AI? What’s in a name?

The use of the term AI, at least in the healthcare context, implies an effort to use unusual, non-routine and/or artificial, non-biomedical, perhaps hitherto ignored sources of data as a way of partially understanding a phenomena. For example: AI researchers are investigating the use of cognitive data (the shaking which characterises Parkinsonism) in their efforts to determine whether a patient has, or does not have, a particular medical condition.

(Note: The shaking would be picked up in the Strannik test so we confidently anticipate that the test would illustrate the pathological correlates of Parkinsonism).

Strannik is based upon assessing changes of cognitive data, in particular the observation that changes of colour perception accompany the onset of all pathological processes, so IT IS an AI (artificial intelligence) technology but it is based upon an actual and precise understanding of how the body functions ie at a molecular scale; and can therefore be mathematically modelled to give a very sophisticated test report AND a very effective therapy. So whilst we are justified in using the term Artificial Intelligence we are also justified in using the term Actual Intelligence because it exceeds the current understanding of the body’s function beyond the realms of biomedical tests.

Yet IT IS a biomedical test because pathological onset influences colour perception - which forms the basis of the Strannik Virtual Scanning test. In essence it borrows a blood sample! It uses an ISO marked personal computer as the test device and incorporates the test data into the mathematical model in order to give the test report.

Initial (ca 30) Proof-of-Concept studies undertaken by medically qualified doctors have illustrated that this technique (developed by the brilliant medical doctor and laser researcher Igor Grakov) is ca 2-23% more accurate than the entire range of diagnostic tests against which it was compared. It solves many of the problems facing the doctor eg reducing the immense cost of biomedicine, the need to rapidly screen patients who have many medical conditions, many areas of unmet clinical need - screening and therapeutic, mental health, reducing injuries arising from invasive tests, reducing GP stress, etc.
