Just read about Australia's new "Right to Disconnect" law. Basically, workers can say no to work calls/emails after hours. Got me thinking about how this might change things for businesses and workers.
Pros: Better work-life balance, maybe happier employees? Cons: Might be tricky for global teams and deadlines.
What do you all think? Good move or not? Could this work in other countries too?

Last week I attended Zoho User Group (ZUG) in Sydney, where 45 people gathered to learn about Zoho CRM. For me, it provided a perfect illustration of the four stages of learning, namely the "conscious competence" framework, which became evident throughout the training session.
Unconscious Incompetence: The invitation to the user group itself may have been the first hint that there was more to learn. Before the ZUG, many attendees, including myself, were likely in this stage.
Conscious Incompetence: During the course of the training, I found myself transitioning from a state of unconscious incompetence to conscious incompetence. The presenters at ZUG began unveiling features and capabilities of Zoho CRM that were previously unknown to me. This sudden realisation of my lack of knowledge, while initially daunting, was also invigorating as it presented new avenues for enhancing our processes.
Conscious Competence: Some attendees who were more familiar with Zoho CRM demonstrated this stage. They could follow along with the trainers, performing tasks with careful concentration. Their questions and comments showed a deeper understanding, but their actions still required deliberate thought.
Unconscious Competence: The trainers themselves exemplified this stage. They navigated Zoho CRM effortlessly, demonstrating complex features and answering questions with ease. Their fluency with the system was evident, allowing them to focus on teaching rather than on the mechanics of using the software.
As a leader, my goal is not to achieve unconscious competence in all technical aspects of Zoho CRM. Instead, I aim to understand its capabilities and how they can benefit our organisation. I rely on my team members to develop a high level of expertise, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
My goal from the ZUG was to grasp the potential of Zoho CRM and envision how it can enable our firm to achieve its objectives more effectively. This high-level understanding allows me to make strategic decisions about our use of the software and guide my team in leveraging its features to their full potential. By recognising where I stand in the learning process and understanding my role as a leader, I can better support my team's progression through these learning stages while focusing on the broader implications of Zoho CRM for our organisation's success.
Attending courses/ training at my age and level is not frequent. I am curious where you recently moved through those stages?
