Gregory Uzelac

Gregory Uzelac, born in 1990 in New York City, is a talented artist, writer, and curator with a deep passion for film, Asian studies, and various art forms.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Asian Studies from Northwestern University, where he explored Postcolonial theory, Chinese Cynical Realism, and Zen and Hindu devotional art.

Uzelac has showcased his works in numerous exhibitions in New York City, including notable shows like Showdinger! at Catland and 1 Bleecker Street. In 2018, he presented his exhibition 'Early Iterations' at Google's New York Headquarters in Chelsea.

Aside from his visual art, Uzelac is actively involved in writing for stage and screen, and is a dedicated fan of the Swedish pop band ABBA.

He furthered his education by pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Fine and Studio Arts at the University of Sydney. Prior to that, he completed his high school education at The Packer Collegiate Institute.

Throughout his career, Uzelac has held various roles in different organizations, showcasing his versatility and expertise. This includes positions such as Creative Curator at Shalom, Director at DARLINGS, and Researcher/Lecturer at the University of Sydney.

He has also served as an Exhibitions Manager for Contemporary Art, contributed as a Sessional Lecturer at the National Art School, and worked in events management and coordination roles.

Furthermore, Uzelac has a diverse professional background, having been involved in teaching, digital strategy consulting, writing, and art curation for a range of organizations and projects internationally.
