Gustavo Slovik

Director at Living SLVK

Gustavo Slovik is a Mexican architect and one of the founders of Exfábricamx, an urban cultural center in Mexico City.1 He is the Creative Director and a partner at Living SLVK, the architectural firm behind the Exfábricamx project.3

Born in 1973, Slovik graduated from Universidad Iberoamericana and holds a master's and doctorate degree in architectural design from the Technical School.3 He specializes in understanding and controlling complex physical and spatial environments.

Slovik played a key role in transforming an abandoned flour factory in Tacuba, northern Mexico City, into Exfábricamx. This 13,000-square-meter space has become a hub for urban culture, street art, and graffiti.12 The project aims to provide a platform for both emerging and established artists, with rotating exhibits and a focus on maintaining an urban style.1

Under Slovik's direction, Exfábricamx has become a popular destination, attracting up to 1,500 visitors daily and hosting various events, including live performances, skateboarding, and art exhibitions.1 His vision for the space emphasizes the importance of urban art and culture in revitalizing neighborhoods and creating new opportunities for artistic expression.12
