We are very excited to announce that Garage Mobility is part of Y Combinator's summer 2022 batch!

Y Combinator is the most renowned startup accelerator in the world that has backed companies like Airbnb, Stripe, Paystack, Flutterwave and DoorDash. Twice a year, over 16,000 companies apply to participate with a ~1.5% acceptance rate.

We look forward to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible for the tech ecosystem in Africa. By 2050 there will be over 400M car owners on the continent (2nd only to China) spending on average $1,000+ on spare parts annually at neighborhood retail shops. We are building a platform that will power all these transactions and reduce the cost of car ownership by reducing the cost of spare parts. The journey has only just begun!

Thanks to our partners Michael Seibel, Gustaf Alströmer, Liz Wessel, Pete Koomen and @Puneet Kumar for riding with us on this adventure

So excited to announce the Inaugural Black Investment Club Conference in person at Harvard Business School on Saturday, April 2 from 8:45am to 6:00pm!   The conference will center on the topic of ‘Investing in Equity.’

In 2020, we saw corporations pledge to create equity.

Our conference keynote speakers include Ursula Burns (Founding Partner, Integrum Holdings), Kenneth I. Chenault (Chairman & Managing Director, General Catalyst), and Seth Klarman (CEO & Portfolio Manager, The Baupost Group).

We will bring in industry veterans and allies to discuss topics such as building generational wealth in the Black community, responsible innovation in venture capital, the intersection of culture and finance, and building investment firms. Our lineup includes David J. Grain, Martin Nesbitt, Saron Tesfalul, Greg Shell, Brooke Jones Brooke Jones, Denielle Pemberton-Heard, Yoan Dipita N'Komba, Alison Rapaport Stillman, CFA, Sherrese Clarke Soares and Willie Woods.   Get your tickets here: https://lnkd.in/epNVRgMW
