Gwenaëlle Gerard is a prominent advocate for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and has made significant strides towards promoting sustainable practices in the business sector. One of her notable achievements came in 2010 when she represented Mexico in the international negotiations held in Copenhagen, Denmark, aimed at developing the ISO 26000 standard for Social Responsibility. In November 2013, Gwenaëlle spearheaded a comprehensive study titled "Panorama de la Responsabilidad Social en México." This groundbreaking research compiled statistical data and best practices from both small and medium-sized enterprises (PyMEs) as well as large corporations, and featured insights from 47 influential leaders, including eight CEOs and the Secretary of Economy. Her second major study released in 2014, "La Responsabilidad Social en México desde un enfoque sectorial," delved into CSR across seven of the most critical sectors in Mexico, further solidifying her role as a thought leader in the industry.
Beyond her studies, Gwenaëlle has contributed to literature in the field of marketing and CSR. She played a vital role in authoring the preface of the first edition of the book "Lo bueno funciona" by marketing guru Philip Kotler. She was an active member of the working committee at the Mexican Institute of Normalization and Certification (IMNC) and served as Vice President on the Board of Trustees at the Franco-Mexican Chamber of Commerce and Industry from 2011 to 2013. Additionally, she chaired the Committee on Corporate Social Responsibility at the same Chamber from October 2014 to April 2015. In 2018, Gwenaëlle collaborated with the Mexican Secretary of Energy to define national priorities related to sustainability in the hydrocarbon value chain, showcasing her influence in public policy surrounding environmental matters.
Currently, Gwenaëlle is the Director General of ResponSable, a social responsibility agency dedicated to providing strategic CSR solutions that transcend traditional philanthropic efforts.
