Highlights
67 years after the launch of the Dove Beauty Bar, more than half (66%) of women feel pressure to look young, and girls are starting anti-aging skincare routines as young as 10-years-old.
Earlier this month, we launched Dove’s latest 360-degree campaign, Beauty Never Gets Old. Through this movement, Dove is disrupting the beauty conversation by featuring real Dove Beauty Bar users 60+ years old – a demographic rarely visible in the beauty landscape today. It’s time to start celebrating aging, instead of fearing it.
I’m so proud to be part of the truly talented team who brought this important work to life and work for a brand on a mission to support more inclusive beauty representation. Special shoutout to Tatiana Pile at Glossy for writing such a meaningful, in-depth story surrounding our launch 😊

Black expectant mothers face significant disparities in care before, during and after childbirth – creating a gap in care where Black women are 3-5x more likely to die of pregnancy related causes than white women. Research shows that with the support of a doula, moms are two times less likely to experience birth complications, four times less likely to have a low-birth-weight baby and are more likely to experience overall positive health outcomes during the birthing journey.
Alongside our partners and colleagues at Unilever, our Baby Dove team at Edelman has been working diligently to understand the needs in helping to close the Black Maternal Care Gap and taking action accordingly. In 2021, we launched the Black Birth Equity Fund to provide new and expectant Black mothers with financial grants for Doula services. We’ve made great progress by reaching over 380 Black mothers to-date, but there’s still work to be done.
Today, as part of Baby Dove’s continued commitment, I’m beyond excited to share that we launched the Black Doula Directory in partnership with Sista Midwife Productions. This new online resource limits barriers to accessing Black doulas who can provide quality care to Black families across the country. As of now, there are over 1,000 Black doulas featured on the directory, and our goal is to double the list of qualified doulas by April 2024.
