Big news -- 2nd Scraplanta Location Opening - August 17th located @ CreateATL in Adair Park
Please consider donating money to support our cause (see link below)
By now most of you know I am on the Board of a very cool not-for-profit, Scraplanta Creative Reuse. In short, we accept donations of lightly used art supplies of all types and resell them at super-low prices at our retail location in Tucker, GA.
Its a "win-win" as we are diverting these materials from going to the landfills and making art supplies affordable. We also started hosting pay-what you can workshops.
Since late 2022, we have taken in over 100,000 pounds of craft materials and hosted 300 participants in our pay-what you can workshops. There is way more demand and requests than we can support in one location.
Now, it's time to expand to the Southwest Atlanta community with our second location to meet the growing demand for accessible art materials and more crafting workshops.
We need your dollars to help us support our cause. Our retail sales only offsets some of our operating expenses. Please consider donating
Collaborating with non-profits, schools, and community organizers, we aim to serve more Atlantans efficiently.
Join us in enhancing community engagement, promoting sustainability, and empowering educators across Atlanta. Together, we can make a meaningful difference

Great cover story on Scraplanta Creative Reuse and Jonelle Dawkins, MBA in Rough Draft Atlanta - Intown Atlanta Newspaper. Scraplanta is an amazing not-for-profit that accepts lightly used, donated art supplies and resells them at super low costs at their retail location in Tucker. It's a great circular economy story diverting potential waste from landfills. If you are in Atlanta and have old supplies please visit the store to donate. If you need to buy supplies or want to try a new craft Scraplanta is the place. Recently they started offering classes and workshops as well. Thanks to Keith Pepper and the Rough Draft Team
