As many of you know, I entered the race for governor of New York in late February, and now our critically important primary is this Tuesday, 6/28. I entered the race because I could not sit idly by while career politicians of both parties continue to destroy our state, especially when I know I can fix it. I believe this year’s election represents a once-in-a-generation opportunity for the right candidate to win and, more importantly, actually fix New York. I have a clear Turnaround Plan for New York that will cut income taxes and property taxes 20% for all New Yorkers; reduce the cost of living driven by bad Albany regulations on food, energy and housing; and restore public safety through a comprehensive anti-crime plan (more details at https://lnkd.in/gUMfJVJQ). I am the only candidate in the race with the proven skills, experience and courage to take on entrenched interests to implement this plan and fix our badly broken state government.
I also am the only Republican to have come close to winning statewide in the last 20 years. In 2010, I almost beat the popular incumbent State Comptroller, Tom DiNapoli; no other Republican candidate has come within 13 points of winning statewide. So I combine the proven leadership to turn around New York with the electoral appeal to actually win in November and am the only candidate in the race to do so.
