Today concludes Police Week on the heels of Public Service Recognition Week. I am grateful to have worked with so many smart, dedicated, and honorable public servants throughout my career at the Justice Department and, now here at Uber, where so much of my team is made up of former law enforcement, military, and intelligence community public servants. As college graduations cascade this month, I hope our future generations join the ranks of what President Kennedy once described as "a proud and lively career."
I was thrilled to talk to the press in several cities last week about our new rider verification pilot program. The identity and safety teams at Uber spent months putting together this important safety feature for drivers and riders, and I was proud to highlight the amazing work of Trust & Security at Uber.
