Never have I started a New Year with so much (surprisingly delightful) uncertainty in my life and career! After 12 incredible years in senior leadership at Avaaz, I recently decided to resign and open myself to all manner of possibilities in my career.
I so enjoyed being fully dedicated to a mission and a team that I felt little need to actively ‘network’ beyond it. While I was strongly invested in building a world-class Operations team, overhauling governance and other infrastructure at Avaaz, my work there also offered regular, fulfilling opportunities to connect with allied professionals, and to offer pro bono consultancy and advice to many amazing people and organizations.
Now, from this new vantage, I find myself digging into the LinkedIn community here, and it’s truly inspiring and stimulating to see everything you all are up to! Internal and cross-sector promotions, industry shifts, and every other variety of transition and growth. I’m more excited than I’ve felt in a long time to pursue new opportunities and connect with so many cherished colleagues from the past 17 years of my nonprofit, mission-focused Operations career. I am ready to dive back in!
