Heidi Abbott is a seasoned theater educator with a wealth of experience in teaching, directing, and acting in various theater productions. She has established a thriving drama program at The Hamlin School and has contributed to numerous renowned theater organizations, including California Shakespeare Theater's Conservatory, San Francisco Shakespeare Festival, and Marin Theatre Company. With over 50 plays, 15 Shakespearean productions, 20 musicals, and 25 improv shows under her belt, Heidi's dedication lies in nurturing the creative development of students, showcasing their talents, and honing her skills as an educator and director.

Heidi's educational background is extensive, holding Master's degrees in Theater Education and English. She has received training from prestigious institutions like The New Actor's Workshop in New York City, the American Conservatory Theater, and Full Circle Productions in San Francisco, learning under notable mentors such as Richard Seyd, Bobby Weinapple, and Jeffrey Bihr. Prior to her theater career, Heidi taught high school English for nine years and coached various sports teams.

As a stage actor, Heidi has been recognized for her exceptional performances, including receiving a 2012 Shellie Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress and a 2000 Arty Award for Best Lead Actress. She has graced the stages of numerous esteemed theater companies and festivals, such as Marin Shakespeare Company, San Francisco Fringe Festival, and Edinburgh Fringe Festival, showcasing her versatility and talent. Heidi has also ventured into film and commercial work, showcasing her acting prowess across different mediums.
