Helen Kassa is a highly passionate and driven individual with a diverse educational background and extensive experience in policy analysis, advocacy, program coordination, and public relations.

She completed her Bachelor's degree in Political Science, International Relations, and Religious Studies at Santa Clara University, further specializing in International Law and Organizations during a semester at American University.

Helen has held various pivotal roles in esteemed organizations, including serving as the Vice Chair of the Community Correction and Law Enforcement Monitoring Committee at the County of Santa Clara.

Her previous engagements also encompass substantial contributions as District One Commissioner on the Neighborhoods Commission in the City of San Jose, a member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Task Force for the same city, and holding positions in policy analysis, program coordination, and public relations at the African American Community Services Agency (AACSA) and the United Nations.

Her international experience includes roles such as Policy Analyst for the United Nations Development Program, as well as a Research Fellow at the Center for International Policy.

Moreover, Helen has been deeply involved in sustainability policy analysis at Santa Clara University and engaged in political advocacy as a National Delegate to the United Nations COP21 with the NAACP.

Her professional journey also includes experiences such as a Research and Policy Analyst at the Ministry of Peace in Ethiopia, a Political Director's Intern at UFCW, and even founding the inspiring initiative Giving Hope to Kids Like Me.
