Happy Aloha Friday from Hawaii Friends!
No matter how bad of a day or week you feel you are having, as long as you wake up in the morning you are having a great day! Just a reminder, don’t forget to take some time for yourself and your family, work will still be there tomorrow.
In the past 6 months I have seen 3 of my old direct reports take on their first CMO roles, 6 more take on their first VP roles, and countless others start to take the next step in their progression into leadership roles. Nothing in my work career makes me happier than seeing the people who put their blood sweat and tears into their jobs get their chances to grow into prolific leaders.
There is no crazy message here other than to keep fighting the good fight, everyone! Although work can be tough, your strength and willingness to learn and grow will one day pay dividends. Even on your darkest days, know that there are people out here rooting for you, even if you don't necessarily know who they are in the moment. Just remember there is a light at the end of the tunnel for EVERYONE!
Keep crushing it my friends and I hope to one day give you that digital high five and to show you off in a random conversation I am having saying "I know XYZ, what an amazing career that person is having! Their success is one of the proudest accomplishments of my career as a leader."
