Hervens is proficient in project development and management, with a goal of securing a position in communication for behavior change, particularly in public health, disaster risk reduction, or public relations.

He is fluent in Creole and French, has intermediate proficiency in Spanish, and possesses good knowledge of English.

His educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Law from the Université d'État d’Haïti, a Master's degree in Development Economics and International Development from Kalu Institute, a Master's degree in Social Sciences from Universite d'Etat d'Haiti, and a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from Universite d'Etat d'Haiti.

Hervens Silme has held various roles in organizations such as the UNDP, Concern Worldwide, Intermon Oxfam, World Concern, Mairie de Petit-Goave, REZO MEDYA TIGWAV, KNH / ADS, and Radio Petit-Goave FM, where he has served in positions ranging from resilience specialist to project coordinator to social promotion supervisor.
