Hilary Johnson is a mechanical engineer, human centered designer, and systems thinker dedicated to making a positive impact on people and the planet through problem-solving.

Hilary Johnson holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering specializing in Precision Machine Design from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Prior to her doctorate, she pursued a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at MIT and completed her Bachelor's in Engineering Sciences at Dartmouth College alongside a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Mechanical Engineering from Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth.

With a broad educational background, Hilary also obtained the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma at United World College Mostar, showcasing her commitment to diverse learning experiences.

Throughout her career, Hilary Johnson has held various roles in prestigious organizations. She worked as a Faculty Lecturer at Dartmouth College, a Mechanical Engineer at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, and contributed as a Doctoral Researcher and Graduate Research Assistant at MIT.

Hilary's professional journey also includes experiences in the industry, having served as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Synapse Product Development, a Design Fellow at Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth, an Engineering & Design Intern at Insight Product Development, and a Research Assistant at Dartmouth Biomedical Engineering Center.

In addition to her technical roles, Hilary Johnson has been actively involved in governance and leadership positions. She served as the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors at The Wheelock Society, a Board Member at the same organization, and as a Student Director contributing to its development and operations.
